Connecting to an FTP server

The easiest way to connect to an FTP server is to select Quick Connect. Then either paste or type in the URL in the edit field or select a URL from the Address Book. eg FTP://ftp.Save-It.com/Pub/SetupBC.exe (or just ftp.Save-It.com/Pub/SetupBC.exe) they are both valid. The program will then traverse to the correct directory and select the Internet file ready for downloading.

If you need to log on to an FTP server using a Username and Password you need to select Normal Connect. Enter the URL and then enter your Username and Password. Leave the Anonymous button un-checked.

When you are finished with the connection click the Disconnect button or select Disconnect from the File menu.

You can modify the number of connection retries and the time between retries from the Options dialog.
